Defending strategic areas was dependant on the airplane's ability to shoot down enemy aircraft. Some of the most famous "Dog Fights" occurred during WW II. Our fleet of fighter aircraft includes, the Spitfire, Hurricane, P-40, FG-1D Corsair, Mustang, and Sea Fury, Polikarpov's I-153, I-16 and I-15bis. |

Aircraft Bombers From World War II |
||
Even though carpet-bombing was the mainstay of World War II, precision bombing became more frequent as airplanes became more maneuverable and reliable. From this bombing strategy, better technology evolved. The British increased development of airborne radar for aircraft detection and the Germans worked on radio navigation to help find targets at night and in overcast conditions. |

World War II Aircraft Trainers |

As war maneuvers became more reliant on air support, realistic flight training became paramount in getting pilots out to the front ready to fight. Aircraft training consisted of aerial navigation, bombing techniques and more. |

Liaison Airplanes of World War II |

Liaison aircraft served many purposes including reconnaissance, transporting personnel and delivering supplies. As technology improved so did the requirement for intelligence and support. |
